    Pauls Sunday walk. Whaley Bridge.

Forcast was not good but we had 7 turn up for the walk. 14 miles  and no cutting it short due to the weather. All strated well until we were on the ridge and the rain came. Light first but then heavy and kept with us all day. The ones who came were good walkers and fast. We covered the distance in no time at all. Harvey said that there would be a dry spell where there was a gap in the two fronts. We think the gap lasted 2 seconds.
We all enjoyed the walk and went home happy and little wet.

    Strawberry Duck Pub Meal Out.

Saturday eveneng saw a lot of  members heading up to Entwistle for a meal out to a real ale pub. Most went by public transport. Being very green we were. It was not untill Bolton train station we knew who was going as we waited for the next train. But once at the Pub there was Cains beer and 3 good beers on. The menu was very good to choose from, but if wanted anything with lamb in it, most of it went into the hotpot. So no leg of lamb meal. Ten o clock came and time to leave for the last train back to stockport and past there.
Good night was enjoyed by all 16 of us.

    Harveys Wednesday

Good turn out for Harveys walk around the Cheadle area. Good weather for us but very muddy under foot in places. One set of slippery stepping stones to cross. But no one fell into the river.
